I had a crazy story idea. Hear me out:
  • It's like industrial revolution times. Turn of the 20th century maybe, the gay 90s. A young woman turns away an impossibly princely woman saying "oh we can't stay together".
  • We see the prince watch this woman get married and have her own children. And then another generation. And another. Maybe she tries to court her daughter and gets very told off. The daughter leaves town. The prince doesn't follow
  • It's over a hundred years later, present day. Our prince has transitioned and lives with a witch roommate. They run a little apothecary together
  • Prince has STILL not gotten over this girl. He tried dating again but it didn't work out. It never does.
  • But on this fateful day a girl and her friends come in looking at crystals. The girl looks Exactly like gay 90s girl.
  • He asks her a few questions and infers that she has family around here. She's some great great great great granddaughter of the One
  • So he decides to pursue her but also makes gross assumptions about her tastes and likes because in HIS mind she's The One and not a new person
  • Anyway they do work through this and eventually they get together and it's cute
I've been fascinated by the concept of the "guy who had an intimate relationship with you in amother life but you have no idea who he is". EmetWol is like this. I could see mephadow like this. It's very funny.

The challenge would be to write our prince in a way that doesn't make him look like a total creepazoid. I think he will be read that way by someone regardless though. I also want him to taste her blood and nearly collapse because it tastes the same. Yeah there is the whole vampire thing wrapped in here too. Maybe our girl figures that out immediately. Oh pasty dead guy who dresses a decade or two behind who talks too formal and has piercing eyes?? Totally normal.

I don't know if I'll do anything with this!
