• shadow Android origin story. That one's been webbed but it's so fucking hard to get it off the ground for some reason
• "Metal Soul": during an intense fight between metal sonic and sonic/shadow, they blow each other up with a chaos emerald and only metal survives by virtue of being a machine. But now he's got the soul of sonic/shadow in him and they like assimilate together.
• How That one plays out will vary heavily on which job I choose. If shadow: definitely a spar with sonic, interactions with a fraught rouge, and omega. Shadow hijacks a shadow Android chassis. It would probably be more Interesting to go with sonic instead but the stakes are way higher I feel. I don't know if I could handle it or pull it off. Because if it's sonic that has a bigger ripple effect on the everything, but it would potentially be more interesting. In the end I'm a shadow fanboy soooooooooo
• The original fic idea I had a year or two ago about a cyberpunk romance with an android and a girl, they sleep together and are running from the something and then the girl gets horribly wounded and has to get transferred to a robot body. I've thought about this one a lot too

yeah i've had THIS bouncing around in my head lately

i'm willing to put this into limit breaker 'verse because i think it will be juicier. i did a thing where cloud suddenly gets separated and it was SUPER melodramatic, but i think i can work some perspective back in here.

• we start with cloud in his home, a post AC world. it's been a year since everyone in the smash house was sent "home". it's been implied that there were some adjustments, but cloud has reintegrated into his home universe pretty well. cloud, tifa, and barrett all live together with denzel and marlene in edge.
• tifa and barrett are more of an item and it's clear they love cloud and would like to integrate him as well, but cloud is a little closed off. they have fooled around together and cuddled but he will not make it official. they were close before he left, but he left for the equivalent of perhaps the better part of a decade and got into a serious relationship that he will never have again. they're willing to let this lie but they would hope he opens up a little more
• cloud carries a ring from link but wears it around his neck now
• there's a meteor strike in the night, and the gang decides to check it out. it leaves a pretty big hole.
• um. cloud falls in the hole.
• cloud wakes up with a sleeping wolf pack in the middle of hyrule field in nothing but his undershorts
• something something link and zelda discover him there and bring him to lookout landing. the timing is VERY shortly before the beginning of totk
• zelda does a lot of talking. cloud is nearly speechless but this is his SECOND time being transported to another world so he kind of knows this rodeo
• he can tell this is not the princess zelda he knew from before. she looks quite different for one, and her whole demeanor is different. but there is something very endearing about her
• but link. link. LINK. he can't keep his eyes off him. he looks like HIS link (since his link went through a costume change in the smash house)
• internally he is losing his mind. he KNOWS he doesn't recognize him because he knows how he would light up if he did (his heart aches thinking about this)
• no this is not his link. this link Talks. not much, but definitely not writing on a notebook or signing regularly. this zelda does a lot of talking for him, but it's in a different way
• (he talks just like cloud imagined if his link spoke a little louder) (his heart hurts again)
• they get to lookout landing and get him some clothes. he can't really explain much of how he got there, but saying he "fell from the sky" prompts zelda to gush about her research on the zonai.
• link is looking at her fondly as she does this. cloud can't blame him but now he's feeling queasy
• he tells them that he's a capable swordsman and can accompany them if need be. he is desperate to
• zelda thanks him and says she'll keep him in mind. he believes her, but it's very likely that she's just being polite
• before she takes off, link lingers behind and sort of eyes cloud with question. cloud's mouth is so dry. he looks just like him!! he thought he had gotten over him but he hasn't. not at all. ow. OUCH.
• link says something to the effect of "if there's something you'd like to say to me, please do so" --he knows he's been staring
• cloud mumbles that he looks like someone he was close to, and then says he needs to lie down. because he does
• the next day link and zelda leave to explore hyrule castle and then all of everything happens
• cloud keeps himself busy by offering his monster hunting services and kind of integrates himself into lookout landing. he also tries looking for link (and zelda) when they are presumed missing
• when link reappears without a) his hearts b) his whole arm c) his girlfriend and d) his sword, cloud catches up with him and offers to travel with him to find zelda
• they travel together, they get closer. link tells him stories about zelda and the kingdom. cloud tells him about his own world. zelda reminds him of aerith in a strange way--he thinks they would get along. now he misses aerith too. he's full of loose threads that have been severed out of his control. he remembers that there were those in his home that wanted to tie them, and now they're gone too. this keeps happening!
• they have a clumsy tryst one night. they haven't made any progress on finding zelda but link mentions that the three of them could live together when they find her. it sounds nice
• things are starting to unravel, though. it's becoming apparent that cloud isn't supposed to be here. the cities that have problems can't even be entered to help (i.e. rito village blizzard is too severe, same for the sandstorm in gerudo town, goron city is blocked by a gloom avalanche and zora's domain is caked in sludge). cloud is uneasy. he can't stay.
• they go into the lost woods and get very lost, but stumble into the chasm there. up to this point, they haven't gone into the depths. cloud falls in and link tries to catch him, but link tells him to let go. "i need to go back so you can save this land and find your zelda. please remember me. i love you." and he falls
• link dives after him but only finds the depths; cloud is gone
• cloud falls and falls until he hears tifa talking to him. he wakes up in a hospital cot. he's been unconscious for five days.

ugh actually not sure if i like a returning to status quo story like this. i've done it a few times with other things, but it would definitely end on a downer here and not sure if i want that. the other thought is link and zelda and cloud get more time together before the hyrule castle mission and things just sort of end there. i would have a zelda/link/cloud poly. maybe the WHOLE story takes place before TOTK and we play it like that. not sure.

not sure if i'll even be able to write such a thing; i've been working on my music lately so haven't had the writer brain. haven't had the time or focus to write longform stuff as much. but it'll be something i can come back to if i'm feeling into it

so far on that oc story front we've got:

- fluffy chubby girl who wields a big sword. she can't really wield it actually; she does bard type magic by playing her sword like a theremin.

- battleworn mercenary with a zillion knives stored in his coat. primary weapon is a lance

- big benevolent bird-erson paladin, with red, blue, and orange plumage. big hammer!

- tiny half dragon girl who is ABSOLUTELY ready to FIGHT GOD AND WIN. she fights with her fists, readily

- soft flower boy. totally opposite energy from the dragon girl. everything he touches grows flowers. some kind of druid maybe?

i need one more contender here, but this could be a solid crew?

now witch au is a project that i've been working on for…oh boy…a year and a half ago?! oh boy! 

the basics are: cc sephiroth focused ff7 au; sephiroth's a half-vampire (yeah like alucard, i did this all knowing nothing about castlevania) witch, who's down on his luck until he summons a demon, an incubus to be specific, and makes a bet with him. he wins the bet and the incubus becomes his familiar. shenanigans ensue!

this is a very self indulgent horny au, basically. like it's not all horny? but that's where its roots lie. anyway it's like 63K and very much Not Done, but i have chapter previews that sound like episode titles. i'll keep updating them here!

(p.s., yeah i'll post this work once it's done, that way i get a chance to iron out any continuity issues, as it's written episodically)

so yeah, not as horny as we thought! still like. y'know

hey what's up gamers i am SUPER back on my bullshit and this time it's even MORE NICHE

so we're going to take the think about me universe, and we're going to come up with a scenario that doesn't really fit anywhere in the timeline and we're going to create some borderline gay SOLDIER bonding. we're doing some ACGSZ up in this joint and we're doing it right

so i remember a year or two ago watching this video about various drugs you could make at home, and the one that intrigued me the most was this shroom drink type deal…it apparently tastes like liquid bread but envokes a mellow feeling and makes you feel super bondy with whomever you're with. SO, GIMME MY BULLETS

• this takes place sometime between when cloud and zack get together, but before pretty much everything else. if only we had more time basically
• (why'd i crunch the TAM timeline so much?? i could've stretched it a little bit but anyway)
• the five are coming back from some training patrol, except a huge blizzard is sweeping in, and they've closed up the plate so zack and cloud can't get home. they stay the night at sephiroth's (since he has the extra bedroom) but the next day the blizzard hasn't let up, so they're all snowed in
• zack has to call aerith all "i'm sorry baby i have to stay here with these weirdos, i'll be home as soon as i can. call these numbers if you need me" and she's all "okaayyy i'll be lonely and i'll miss youuu but i'll live"
• gen calls them all over to his place with a shitty look and is like "I know exactly what we're doing today"
• angeal immediately says "no" before anything else can be explained and gen is like i promise it has nothing to do with weed
• as he holds up a bag of mushrooms and a shopping bag of mystery goods
• sephiroth is immediately a little on guard as he's the only one who's done psychedelics with gen and it wasn't the best trip? 
• gen says it's something new he read about and he thinks that they can all have a good time with it, and this intention alone is what allows angeal to let him continue to the kitchen and make whatever he's making
• he brings out mugs of the stuff--cloud is nervous but curious, zack is also apprehensive, sephiroth and angeal are more resigned to their fates

so basically once the stuff kicks in it ends up being a big touchy group hang out, and everyone lets their guard down. by a whole lot. and i mean a WHOLE lot. cloud's much less inhibited and more chill (most of his anxiety is gone? miracles exist). zack doesn't seem to be too different but he's a lot more relaxed around everyone, and everyone is the key word here. gen is his usual high self--meaning he runs his mouth more and is a little sillier. sephiroth doesn't seem too different at first, but his guard is down too. and he just goes with things that normally he would flat out refuse. angeal has a similar reaction to zack, but he'll also just go with the flow more and is less exasperated

• everyone takes turns trying to braid sephiroth's hair. gen is trying to coach zack, but he's not that good at it himself. they all comment on how well kept it is, and sephiroth basks in the attention. scratching the top of his head makes him content, and he's coaxed into purring like a cat
• gen and cloud get close on the couch, and gen just sorta goes on about something technical (poetry, music, loveless, whatever) and cloud is a good listener. but sephiroth comes over and says "hey. don't talk to him like that." and gen's like hey what the fuck and seph just pouts and goes "you only talk to me like that" (WHICH IS TRUE AND GAY). gen pats the other side of him and just continues to go on
• zack uses angeal as a pillow a lot. cloud uses zack as a pillow a lot
• they just open up about odd stuff?
• they ask cloud what his biggest dream is ("you've done SOLDIER, that's old lhat now. what's next dude") and he just blurts "what if i became a model" and they all go with it. gen gets out his makeup kit, because "what kind of queer twink would i be if i didn't have a makeup box". except he can't do it very well. sephiroth has to help
• it still doesn't come out great but they laugh it off. angeal helps cloud wash his face
• they test their strengths by picking each other up (angeal and seph are the strongest, as they can carry zack and genesis at the same time)
• like they all kind of just hang out close to each other, in ways that they normally wouldn't
• cloud hugs angeal at one point and just won't let go. so zack hugs him too as if that'll solve anything
• gen decides tehy should jam, although it ends up being an abstract thing between him and seph
• cloud starts making food and one by one everyone comes in to try and help by touching and ghosting in the most useless and gay way possible. sephiroth starts surprisingly, then zack comes in, then angeal comes in, and then it's too many cooks in the kitchen
• (gen does not help. he really can't cook)

ther'es so much more i could go on with here, just with little conversations and cuddling and stuff but you get the idea

a couple more things that are more momentum based

• toward the end of the night when people start falling asleep, ange and gen are the last ones awake. gen's basically like "hey we're both high, why don't you kiss me again. please" and angeal has to really think about it long and hard but it's hard to think long and hard when you feel so warm and fluffy, and so they kiss. just a little. and it makes gen happy and fall asleep. and angeal loves his friend even though his friend is hopelessly in love with him. but he gives him this one small favor
• everyone kinda falls asleep on the couch, but in the middle of they night they all end up migrating somewhere. seph, gen, and cloud end up on the bed. zack and angeal stay on the couch, until zack's long puppy limbs are too much to deal with, so angeal takes gen's throne, i mean, his beanbag chair. another swap happens when angeal gets water and cloud goes to the bathroom. cloud gravitates to zack, letting angeal get int he bed with seph and gen
• in the morning, gen is the first up and playing with his bass. zack is up next and offers to make breakfast. they're sober, but mellow
• the snow eased up significantly overnight, so zack's all "after breakfast we'll go home"
• the thing is the party disperses kinda anti-climactically, as these things tend to happen in real life
• seph slinks out almost unnoticed--gen notices, but lets him go. this is status quo
• when angeal wakes up he excuses himself and heads upstairs
• so it's just cloud zack and gen eating toast and eggs in silence (cloud's attached to zack's hip) while listening to morning radio
• and then they just. leave

and yeah they don't really talk about it much! but it did make them closer, and the next time the band has rehearsal, they're all a little more in sync with each other in a natural sort of way. bonding

and later, after the events of everything, zack and gen are on duty somewhere and zack just up and says "hey remember that time when that blizzard hit and we just stayed at your place and got high? that wasn't too bad" and gen's like "yeah…it wasn't, was it?" like even though they were way more touchy and closer than they could be sober, they all still appreciated the experience together. so…it good

it's WAY LATE and i gotta sleep but that's what i got for you, hopefully i can make good on it!
